    Controller, Finance

     

    We are seeking a highly capable Controller to oversee all aspects of accounting and financial reporting across our U.S. operations. This role encompasses both fund-level and corporate-level accounting responsibilities. The ideal candidate is a seasoned finance professional with deep real estate private equity experience, who thrives in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment and excels at both strategic thinking and hands-on execution.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Oversee full-cycle accounting across corporate entities and real estate investment funds
    • Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes and deliverables
    • Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and internal policies across all reporting activities
    • Lead preparation of financial statements, capital account reports, and investor reporting packages
    • Build and maintain Excel models to support fund performance tracking, asset management, and forecasting
    • Coordinate annual audits and tax filings with external auditors and tax advisors
    • Implement and maintain strong internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures
    • Lead, build, mentor, and grow a team of both in-house and remote accountants and finance professionals
    • Partner cross-functionally with asset management, investments, and capital markets to support operational and strategic initiatives
    • Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning

    Qualifications

    • 15+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 10+ years in private equity or investment management
    • Extensive experience with both investment fund structures and corporate entities, including fund financial reporting and corporate financial reporting
    • CPA strongly preferred
    • Advanced proficiency in Excel; capable of building and auditing financial and accounting models
    • Proven experience managing and developing accounting teams across geographies
    • Strong understanding of GAAP, fund accounting principles, REIT structures, and internal controls
    • Demonstrated ability to manage audits, tax processes, and investor reporting cycles
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; strong judgment and attention to detail
    • Effective communicator with a collaborative, hands-on work style
    • Familiarity with Yardi is a plus
    • Must be both a strategic and tactical thinker who thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial setting
  • Compensation
    $150,000 per year
