    Job Description

    • Assist Automation Engineer with Plantwide Automation improvements.
    • Participate in Programming various Controls Technologies including PLCs, Robotics, Drives, HMIs, Safety Hardware, Vision, and PC based platforms.
    • Train TEF staff in the use of Programming/HMI/Safety/Drive software to troubleshoot plant equipment in a Safe and effective manner.
    • Assist with the planning of training courses and developmental evaluation of TEF technicians.
    • Maintain plantwide directory of Controls backups, Robotics, and pc images.
    • Maintain plantwide directory of Electrical Schematics for each Value Stream.
    • Participate in Continuous Improvement activities.
    • Support complex downtime events in production with the objective to explain the diagnostic process and guide technicians in improving Controls root cause analysis.
    • Create detailed technical presentations that provide insight into projects, automation improvements, and complex downtime events.

    Qualifications

    • Minimum of 10 years of experience in a manufacturing environment working with Control Systems, PLC's, CNC Controls, Robots, PC's and HMI's.
    • A.A.S. in Electrical/Electronic Engineering Technology or similar Associates Degree.
    • Proficient in troubleshooting Allen-Bradley and/or Siemens PLCs.
    • Strong understanding of electrical safety practices and NFPA 70E.
    • Working knowledge of prints, schematics, and equipment documentation for installation, modification and repair of production equipment.
    • Working knowledge of machine communications including understanding of communication cables and LAN components.
    • Qualified to work in electrical panels of 3-phase 480 volts and lower using all proper safety procedures and PPE. This will be verified by a practical demonstration before you can work in any panel.
    • Good computer, problem solving, and interpersonal skills.
    • Prior Robot Schools is a strong plus. (Certificate required to operate and teach robots.)
