Controls Engineer - HVAC Building Automation - Base Salary to 100k/year - Richfield, OH

• Our client is a leader in energy services and building automation, serving Northeast Ohio for the last 20 years. The company utilizes performance-based contracting to find operational savings hiding in their customers’ building systems and use those savings to pay for significant infrastructure upgrades. These upgrades consist of boiler, lighting, electrical upgrades, water conservation, and installation of new building automation systems.
  
• The team is seeking an additional Controls Engineer. This person will assist with configuring and programming HVAC building automation & control systems specific to customer and site needs.

Responsibilities:

• Design and program building automation & control systems and create sequence of operations
  
• Create clear design documents, provide input on design standards, and ensure all project specifications, revisions, and communications are thoroughly documented
  
• Test building automation systems, interfaces, and programming before implementation
  
• Understand and implement specific sequence of operations & continuously refine sequences for energy efficiency
  
• Using input from sales estimate and customer requirements to work collaboratively with engineering team to define system architectures
  
• Provide field change info to the team for as-built drawings and software

Qualifications:

• 2+ years experience designing and programming building automation systems
  
• Background in HVAC with robust mechanical aptitude, preferably in commercial HVAC
  
• Experience creating control drawings, system testing, and project documentation
  
• Plus for background in Visio and/or Automated Logic EDS
  
• Ability to manage multiple projects
  
• Work collaboratively with other departments
  
• Good verbal and written communication skills
  
• Ability to travel to site location as needed (spending about 90% of the time in office)

Compensation:

• Base salary to 100k/year plus comprehensive benefits package.
