Controls Engineer
Direct Hire | St. Paul, MN | $80k -120K

Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled Controls Engineer to design, program, and support automation solutions across a range of industries. You will be responsible for developing control system architectures, programming PLCs/HMIs, and supporting installation and commissioning of systems at customer sites.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop control systems using Rockwell, Siemens, or similar platforms.
• Program PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA systems based on customer specifications.
• Create electrical schematics and panel layouts using EPLAN or Solidworks Electrical.
• Provide technical support during panel build, system integration, and startup.
• Perform on-site commissioning and troubleshooting of control systems.
• Collaborate with customers, project managers, and panel shop personnel to deliver turnkey automation solutions.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 3+ years of experience in industrial automation or controls.
• Proficiency in PLC/HMI programming (e.g., Studio 5000, TIA Portal, Ignition).
• Working knowledge of control panel design and UL508A standards.
• Willingness to travel occasionally for site commissioning and support.
