Primary Responsibilities:
- Design and engineer custom control systems for industrial automation
- Program PLCs, HMIs, CNCs, and troubleshoot ladder logic and legacy systems
- Lead project scopes from concept through implementation, including upgrades and retrofits
- Deliver exceptional customer communication, training, and ongoing support
- Identify and solve control-related issues across a wide range of equipment
- Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and modern control strategies
Leadership & Support:
- Provide real-time controls support to technicians in the field
- Set clear expectations for delivery and outcomes, both internally and externally
- Mentor and collaborate with team members of various disciplines and experience levels
What You Bring
- 5+ years of Controls Engineering experience in industrial settings
- 2+ years of leadership experience (process or people)
- Bachelor's in Electrical/Controls Engineering or equivalent hands-on experience
- Deep knowledge of PLCs, HMIs, Fanuc, RSLogix, Siemens, etc.
- Proficiency in electrical schematics, panel design, wiring, and troubleshooting
- Strong communication, analytical thinking, and customer-facing skills
- Willingness to travel to customer sites as needed
Bonus Points For:
- Hands-on service experience with machines of varying ages and OEMs
- CAD/CAM or control panel building experience
