    Controls Technician - Electrical - Base Salary to 50.00/hour - Dublin, OH

    • Our client is a well-established mechanical services and engineering organization with over 100 years of success and a rapidly growing presence in the data center and mission-critical construction space. They are seeking multiple Controls Technicians (internally titled EPMS Controls Technician) with experience supporting data center infrastructure and electrical power monitoring systems (EPMS). This role supports ground-up data center construction and commissioning projects across the U.S. and involves 50–75% travel, typically in 1–2-week assignments.

    Responsibilities:

    • Perform startup, checkout, integration, and commissioning of EPMS, SCADA, and control systems
    • Configure and support Ignition SCADA platforms for monitoring and control of data center systems
    • Program and troubleshoot PLCs (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or similar) and associated control hardware
    • Configure and integrate HMIs, industrial PCs (IPCs), power quality meters (PQMs), and managed network switches
    • Support communication protocols such as Modbus, BACnet, and Ethernet/IP
    • Read and interpret electrical schematics, one-lines, and control diagrams
    • Utilize Procore or similar construction management tools to track progress and documentation
    • Collaborate with Engineering and Project Teams to resolve design and field issues
    • Assist with functional testing, system validation, and commissioning documentation

    Qualifications:

    • 2+ years of experience in controls, automation, or electrical systems
    • Experience supporting data center, mission-critical, or industrial environments
    • Hands-on experience with PLC programming and/or SCADA systems (Ignition, Wonderware, FactoryTalk, etc.)
    • Strong understanding of electrical systems and power monitoring
    • Experience with networking fundamentals (IP addressing, switches, communication protocols)
    • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and control schematics
    • Experience with EPMS or power monitoring systems (Schneider, Eaton, SEL, or similar) is a plus
    • Willingness and ability to travel 50–75% nationwide

    Compensation:

    • Base salary in the 35.00 - 50.00/hour range
    • $70/day per diem while traveling
