Sansom Staffing has partnered with a successful manufacturer for a 2nd shift Controls Technician.

This role supports production by troubleshooting, improving, and maintaining electrical and control systems, with a strong focus on PLC- and software-driven operations.

Schedule:  1:45pm-10:15pm (ability to work oncall)

Key Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and improve analog and digital control systems, including PLCs, HMIs, and industrial networks

• Support daily production through controls troubleshooting and continuous improvement

• Install, maintain, and calibrate pneumatic and electronic process control instruments

• Document control system changes, new equipment, and technology upgrades

• Track and manage software versions, licenses, and system compatibility

• Verify new components and software meet plant and corporate standards

• Partner with Quality to support food safety and quality programs

• Assist maintenance personnel and engineering on improvement projects

Qualifications

• 1–2 years experience in electrical or controls role within manufacturing

• Hands-on PLC and logic circuit experience required

• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics

• Experience with PLC and HMI controls

• Coursework in electronics or controls preferred

• Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
