    Job Description

    POSITION SUMMARY:

    We’re seeking an experienced UI/UX Designer to transform our mobile application into an easy-to-use and intuitive product. The UI/UX Designer is responsible for gathering and evaluating user requirements, illustrating and communicating design ideas to stakeholders, and designing graphic user interface elements. This position collaborates vertically and horizontally across the organization to drive designs that meet user and business goals from initial concept to final implementation. This position requires an analytical and creative designer who is skilled at grasping user needs and translating insights into actionable solutions. This is a full-time contract role with the potential of FTE conversion and offers a fully remote work schedule, permanently. This position reports to the CTO.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    ·         Build a deep knowledge of our users’ goals and problems to understand and prioritize user requirements to ensure designs effectively speak to client needs and personas.

    ·         Conduct quantitative and qualitative user research testing and follow results to iterate designs based on feedback from users, SMEs, business partners, and peers.

    ·         Collaborate closely with colleagues to understand and empathize with our patients’ complex healthcare journeys and identify opportunities to improve their experiences.

    ·         Collaborate with colleagues vertically and horizontally across the organization to bring product concepts and user research to life, integrating critical feedback from internal and external stakeholders.

    ·         Translate initial insights and ideas into concepts, user journeys, storyboards, system maps, user flows, wireframes, and prototypes using Figma, Adobe CS, and other design tools.

    ·         Supply sketches, wireframes, process flows, and prototypes for design discussions.

    ·         Understand and articulate the information architecture, workflows, and processes surrounding the user experience.

    ·         Clearly communicate and present design concepts to stakeholders considering business requirements, timelines, and design best practices.

    ·         Utilize active listening to understand and respond to stakeholder needs and concerns.

    ·         Translate design concepts into engaging, user-friendly designed solutions that are pixel-perfect and follow UI design best practices across multiple platforms and screen sizes.

    ·         Design graphic user interface elements, building interaction models, workflows, wireframes, screen designs, and visual details that resonate with the end user.

    ·         Develop guidelines for design standards and patterns. Build and manage design assets, style guides, and design fidelity in the product.

    ·         Ensure consistency with brand guidelines and existing design patterns.

    ·         Conduct regular UX audits, analyzing existing experiences for usability and accessibility issues, and providing recommendations for improvement.

    ·         Collaborate with colleagues to test, rapidly iterate, and refine ideas, concepts, and UI.

    ·         Drive increased conversions, engagement, retention, and other key metrics through meticulous and intentional design.

    ·         Adhere to timelines and production schedules for deliverables, ensuring issues are appropriately flagged to management and stakeholders.

    ·         Be a UX thought leader within the organization, sharing industry trends and best practices on product design and UX processes.

    KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:

    ·         5+ years of professional design experience with a portfolio of successful projects that exhibits a strong understanding of design craft (typography, hierarchy, color, and composition)

    ·         Experience in creating wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows, and site maps.

    ·         Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, OmniGraffle, or other visual design and wire-framing tools.

    ·         Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

    ·         Proficiency in design software (e.g., Figma, UXPin, Balsamiq, Adobe XD, Sketch)

    ·         Excellent written and communication skills.

    ·         Up-to-date knowledge of the latest UI/UX trends, techniques, and technologies.

    ·         Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment, while keeping track of projects with minimal supervision.
