Balance Assisted Living & Memory Care is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Cook to join our team. This role is essential to supporting the health, comfort, and well-being of our residents by providing nutritious, high-quality meals in a respectful and resident-centered environment.

This position is ideal for individuals who take pride in their work, value teamwork, and understand the importance of meal service in senior care.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparation and service of quality meals for all residents including those with special diet needs.
• Follows menu program or an approved substitute menu to ensure that nutritional needs and preferences of the residents are met.
• Ensures plate presentation is attractive and appetizing for the resident population.
• Assist in planning and coordinating special events for marketing and activities.
• Continuously monitor and appropriately address resident concerns and preferences.
• Adheres to proper food handling and sanitation guidelines.
• Ensure residents are provided privacy, respect, and dignity.
• Follows standard precautions and infection control procedures.
• Completes state required training upon hire and annually.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic computer and communication skills.
• A positive attitude and willingness to complete all Title 22 RCFE training requirements.
• A service-oriented mindset with patience and professionalism.

Upon hire, candidates must complete:

• State Criminal Background Clearance
• LIC 508 Criminal Record Statement
• LIC 503 Health Screening Report
