    We are seeking a dependable, energetic, and customer-focused Food Truck Operator/Cook to join our team. This role is responsible for preparing and serving food, operating the food truck efficiently during service, maintaining food safety standards, managing inventory, and delivering excellent customer service. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, can multitask effectively, and takes pride in providing high-quality food and a positive customer experience.

    Key Responsibilities

    Food Preparation & Cooking

    Prepare, cook, and assemble menu items according to established recipes and quality standards.

    Ensure food is prepared efficiently and served in a timely manner during busy service periods.

    Monitor food quality, portion control, and presentation.

    Safely operate grills, fryers, ovens, and other kitchen equipment.

    Food Truck Operations

    Assist with opening and closing procedures, including setup and breakdown of the food truck.

    Ensure all equipment is operational and report any maintenance needs promptly.

    Maintain adequate stock levels of food, beverages, supplies, and packaging materials.

    Assist with loading and unloading inventory, equipment, and supplies.

    Food Safety & Sanitation

    Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health department regulations.

    Maintain a clean and organized food preparation and service area.

    Properly store, label, and rotate food products.

    Complete daily cleaning and sanitation tasks for the truck, equipment, and workstations.

    Qualifications & Requirements

    Experience

    Previous experience as a cook, line cook, food truck operator, restaurant cook, or in a fast-paced food service environment preferred.

    Skills

    Strong cooking and food preparation skills.

    Ability to multitask and work efficiently during high-volume service periods.

    Excellent customer service and communication skills.

    Basic cash handling and point-of-sale (POS) experience preferred.

    Knowledge

    Understanding of food safety regulations and safe food handling practices.

    ServSafe Certification or willingness to obtain certification preferred.

    Physical Requirements

    Ability to stand for extended periods.

    Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

    Comfortable working in a confined space and outdoor environments in varying weather conditions.

    Ability to perform repetitive tasks in a fast-paced setting.

    Reliability

    Must be punctual, dependable, and able to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, special events, and holidays.

    Must have reliable transportation to event and service locations.

    Preferred Qualifications

    Experience operating a food truck or mobile food service unit.

    Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

    Experience with event-based food service operations.

    Ability to work independently while maintaining high standards of food quality and customer service.
