Job Description
A family-oriented wholesale lumber company located in southern Chicago is looking for a back office specialist to process daily billing and receiving tasks in addition to other administrative and financial functions from time to time.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Bill orders that have shipped
- Receive materials into inventory
- Process material returns and associated credits
- Answer inbound telephone calls
- Process checks and post order payments
- Perform other office tasks such as filing and scanning key documents
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize and multitask
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Strong data entry skills
- Ability to work independently with occasional supervision
- Familiarity with desktop office applications, such as Excel and Word
- Willingness to serve as a backup for other related employees during their days off

EXPERIENCE:
- The ideal candidate will have experience billing, receiving and working independently in a small office environment, with excellent attention to detail. He or she will also be a self starter and be proactive in making sure the back office is functioning efficiently.
