We are looking for an experienced Cook to join our team! You will be preparing and cooking a variety of dishes for restaurant guests to enjoy.
You are passionate about creating exceptional dining experiences through good, quality food. You are able to manage multiple priorities and contribute to a friendly and productive team atmosphere. Ideally, you have your ServeSafe or Food Handler’s certification.
Responsibilities:
Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen and work areas
Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines
Set up and stock stations with necessary supplies
Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and standards
Work efficiently with the team during busy service
Assist with prep, inventory, and closing duties as needed
Control and minimize waste
Qualifications:
Capacity to work in a fast-paced work environment.
Previous experience as a restaurant cook preferred
ServeSafe or Food Handler’s certification (or must be willing to attain)
Familiarity with general kitchen equipment and appliances
Ability to read, comprehend, and follow recipes
Strong working knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and safety and sanitation practices
Effective communication skills
Ability to lift 30+ lbs
Ability to work standing for 8+ hours
