FULL-TIME COOK POSITION

SCAN's Children Emergency Shelter provides 24-hour care for children zero to seventeen that are under custody of CPS due to abuse and neglect. The Shelter provides a nurturing, home-like, safe environment family where children can thrive. The position requires to cook and prepare a weekly menu of nutritious hot meals for youth in care.

Qualifications:
• Prior work experience cooking for up to 20 persons or
• Prior work experience in a restaurant.
• Bilingual is preferred.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Work Monday to Friday from 6 AM to 2 PM
• Knowledge of safe food preparation.
• Knowledge of how to properly store food items at appropriate temperatures
• Demonstrated effective communication skills.
• Good organizational and time management skills.
• Demonstrated understanding of the specific nutritional needs of youth.
• Must have a valid Texas Driver’s License.

Salary $ 14.00/ Hr.
