    Position Overview

    The Gardens of Statesville is seeking a reliable and motivated culinary professional to join our team in a full-time capacity. In this role, you will help prepare high-quality meals, maintain a clean and organized kitchen, and support smooth day-to-day operations. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, works well in a fast-paced environment, and takes pride in delivering consistent food quality and excellent service.

    Responsibilities

    • Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes, standards, and presentation guidelines.
    • Assist with meal prep, ingredient portioning, and kitchen organization.
    • Monitor food quality, freshness, and proper storage practices.
    • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas, equipment, and utensils.
    • Follow all food safety, health, and sanitation regulations.
    • Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient kitchen operations and timely meal service.
    • Assist with inventory checks, receiving supplies, and reporting shortages or concerns.
    • Support special requests and dietary needs as directed by leadership.

    Qualifications

    • Previous experience in a cooking or food preparation role preferred.
    • Basic knowledge of food safety and kitchen sanitation practices.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
    • Strong attention to detail and commitment to consistent quality.
    • Good communication and teamwork skills.
    • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform routine kitchen tasks.
    • Flexibility to work full-time hours, including evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed.
