Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Cook to join our team! As the Cook, you will be responsible for the Hot Foods Department and its Efficiency. You will cook, prepare, portion, and quality control using HACCP guidelines and customer expectations. The ideal candidate is a strong leader with experience in time management, daily planning, inventory controls, with organizational and cleaning skills.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Adhere to a strict dress code: supporting health and safety guidelines
Planning a weekly menu with manager and cold foods department
Able to cooperate and work in a team environment
Maintain sanitary standards (HACCP) for department per management
Ability to operate and maintain kitchen equipment
Follow recipes, create uniform entrees per company SOPs and improvise menus to accommodate dietary needs
Comminate effectively and professionally with team and management
Participate in daily kitchen opening and closing procedures
Qualifications:
Passion for Cooking!
At least 3 years of cooking experience. i.e.: fryer, ovens, grill, flat top and range
Clean driving record and valid drivers license
Ability to remain calm and thrive under pressures.
Able to lift 70 lbs. and standing for long periods of time
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Valid Serv Safe Certification
Advanced knowledge of culinary techniques and recipes
Excellent time management skills
