Balance Assisted Living is looking for a dedicated and skilled Cook to join our Culinary Team! Help us provide a warm, welcoming dining experience for our residents while working in a supportive and community-driven environment.

What You'll Do:

• Prepare and serve delicious, nutritious meals that meet residents' dietary needs and preferences.
• Ensure food safety and sanitation practices are always followed.
• Maintain clean and organized food service areas, including the kitchen and dining room.
• Assist with inventory control and kitchen management.
• Collaborate with the Culinary Director and support Culinary Aides when needed.
• Help plan and execute special dining events.
• Uphold resident dignity, privacy, and respect in every interaction.

What We’re Looking For:

• Ability to prepare and serve a variety of foods skillfully and safely.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Professional demeanor under pressure and the ability to multitask.
• Experience working with seniors or in long-term care is a plus!
• Must be at least 18 years old and able to read, speak, and write English.

Employment Requirements:

• State Criminal Background Check and LIC 508 – Criminal Record Statement
• LIC 503 – Health Screening Report
• Tuberculosis (TB) Clearance
• First Aid & CPR Certification (as required by the state)
• Ability to lift 40-50 lbs and stand for extended periods
• Must be free from non-treated communicable diseases
