About the Role:
Tiny Toes Daycare LLC in Redding, CA is looking for a warm, energetic Cook/Teacher's Aide to join our growing team! This unique dual role offers the opportunity to nourish children both through wholesome meals and hands-on learning in a nurturing daycare environment. Responsibilities:
Prepare and serve nutritious, age-appropriate meals and snacks for children daily
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen in compliance with health and food safety standards
Assist lead teachers in implementing age-appropriate lesson plans and activities
Supervise and engage children during meals, playtime, and structured learning activities
Support classroom management and help maintain a positive, safe learning environment
Monitor children's dietary needs and allergies to ensure safe meal preparation
Communicate effectively with parents, staff, and administrators regarding children's daily needs
Requirements:
Previous experience in childcare, early childhood education, or a classroom setting preferred
Experience in food preparation, cooking, or a kitchen environment
Food Handler's Certification or ability to obtain one upon hire
CPR and First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain
Patience, compassion, and a genuine love for working with young children
Ability to pass a background check as required by California childcare regulations
Strong communication and teamwork skills in a fast-paced environment
6 Early Childhood Education units preferred but not required
