Position Overview:
Rivercrest Place Assisted Living is seeking a dedicated and talented Cook to join our culinary team. As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and delivering high-quality meals in a fast-paced and dynamic kitchen environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for cooking, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with other kitchen staff to ensure a memorable dining experience for our guests.

Key Responsibilities:

- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to menu specifications and customer preferences.
- Ensure all food is prepared and presented in a timely and appealing manner.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, adhering to all food safety and sanitation standards.
- Assist in the development of new menu items and recipes.
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate shortages or issues to kitchen management.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to coordinate food preparation and service.
- Participate in occasional training sessions to enhance culinary skills and knowledge.

Qualifications:

- Previous experience as a Cook or in a similar role is preferred.
- Knowledge of various cooking techniques and cuisines.
- Ability to follow detailed directions and manage time efficiently.
- Strong understanding of food safety practices.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
