The World Equestrian Center – Ocala is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Cook II to support the culinary team at Genievieve’s , our elegant Italian dining concept located within the prestigious Equestrian Manor. This entry-level role is ideal for a culinary professional eager to refine their skills in fry station operations while contributing to a high-caliber kitchen environment.
As Cook II , you will assist in the preparation and execution of menu items, ensuring consistency, cleanliness, and adherence to culinary standards. Your role supports the World Equestrian Center’s core values of Quality, Class, and Distinction.
Primary Responsibilities:
Execute menu items across assigned stations—including grill, sauté, fry, pantry, and prep—with consistency and attention to presentation.
Follow prep schedules and station responsibilities as directed by senior kitchen leadership.
Monitor food quality, portioning, and timing to ensure adherence to culinary standards.
Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety across all workstations.
Assist with inventory rotation, labeling, and proper storage of ingredients.
Support private dining and special event execution with professionalism and flexibility.
Uphold food safety and sanitation standards in accordance with company and regulatory guidelines.
Collaborate respectfully with fellow cooks, sous chefs, and front-of-house staff to ensure smooth and timely service.

Qualifications, Education, Experience, Skills and Abilities
Minimum of 2–3 years’ experience in a professional kitchen, with proficiency across multiple stations.
Solid understanding of Italian cuisine and classical cooking techniques.
Strong knife skills, attention to detail, and ability to follow recipes and plating standards.
ServSafe Certification required or willingness to obtain.
Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Experience with private dining and event execution preferred.
