    The World Equestrian Center – Ocala is seeking a skilled and focused Cook ll to join the culinary team at White Willow ; our refined Asian dining concept located within the prestigious Equestrian Manor. This intermediate-level role is ideal for a culinary professional with experience in high-temperature frying techniques, a strong sense of timing and precision, and a commitment to maintaining the integrity of Asian flavors.

    As a Cook ll at White Willow, you will be responsible for executing crisp, flavorful dishes with consistency and care, contributing to the elevated culinary experience that reflects the World Equestrian Center’s core values of Quality, Class, and Distinction.

    Primary Responsibilities:

    • Prepare and execute fried and wok-fired menu items with precision, consistency, and attention to timing, flavor balance, and presentation.

    • Maintain station readiness across fry and wok stations—including mise en place, equipment setup, oil and temperature monitoring, and ingredient preparation—to ensure seamless service.

    • Monitor cooking techniques, temperatures, and timing to achieve optimal texture, flavor, and consistency in all dishes.

    • Collaborate with the culinary team, including senior cooks and chefs, to ensure smooth, timely, and coordinated service.

    • Support private dining and special events with elevated fry- and wok-based offerings tailored to guest expectations.

    • Assist in training junior team members, fostering a culture of excellence, discipline, and continuous improvement.

    • Maintain cleanliness and organization of all assigned stations and surrounding areas, ensuring a safe and efficient workspace.

    • Uphold strict food safety and sanitation standards in compliance with health regulations and internal protocols.

    • Promote a respectful and collaborative kitchen environment, contributing positively to team morale and professional conduct.

    Qualifications, Education, Experience, Skills and Abilities

    • Minimum of 2–4 years’ experience in cooking within an upscale or fine dining kitchen.

    • Proficiency in frying techniques, oil management, and ingredient handling.

    • Understanding of Asian flavor profiles and culinary traditions.

    • Strong organizational and communication skills.

    • ServSafe Certification required.

    • Professional appearance and demeanor.

    • Availability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events.
