    EVENTS AND OUTREACH COORDINATOR

    Cool Kids Clubhouse is recruiting an Event and Outreach Coordinator. The focus of this role is to plan and coordinate fundraising events, provide fundraising support and donor stewardship. A successful candidate will be able to coordinate a number of tasks with competing deadlines.     GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

    This role reports directly to the Managing Director and is responsible for the planning and execution of local fundraising events, and community outreach efforts. This position requires the ability to work with a high degree of independence, and juggle various projects at once, while maintaining a clear view of how each project supports the organization's mission.

    Expected Hours of Work: Cool Kids core business hours are 9:00am to 5:00pm Monday – Friday. This role is generally expected to work during core business hours and occasional evening and weekend work as related to events and other business needs.

    Travel: Occasional travel is primarily local during the business day.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Coordinate and execute annual fundraising events. Responsibilities include project management, event budgeting, liaising with event committees/volunteers, creating event collateral and vendor negotiations  

    • Coordination of silent and live auctions including soliciting in-kind donations and managing auction logistics 

    • Research and steward event sponsors 

    • Attend local community events or third-party fundraisers to raise awareness of Cool Kids and obtain local support for solicitation opportunities

    • Maintain inventory and organization of event supplies

    • Assist with creating engaging social media content and event collateral (flyers, invitations etc.) 

    • Help maintain organizational database entries and update spreadsheets and forms as it relates to events

    • Travel to events, post office or store for errands as it relates to events

    REQUIRED & PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

    • 2 years experience planning fundraising events.

    • 2 years experience speaking in public including attending networking events

    • Preferred experience in nonprofits.

    • Strong proficiency in all Microsoft suite products (excel, word, power point, etc.)

    • Experience with Canva, Constant Contact, VolunteerMatch and Sign Up Genius preferred

    • Strong organization and administrative ability to manage multiple task; detail oriented and strong ability to follow up

    • Must be able to work at times with minimal supervision or direction

    • Excellent communication, analytical, writing and editing skills

    • Proficient in social media content creation

    WORK CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

    This job operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is:

    • Regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; talk or hear
    • Regularly lifts and move boxes, supplies and equipment up to 20-50lbs.
    • Will experience prolonged sitting, keying of data and speaking on the phone

    GENERAL OFFICE & OTHER DUTIES:
