We’re seeking Cooling Tower Technicians to join a mechanical services team in Mountainside, New Jersey — 30 miles southwest of NYC. In this hands-on role, you’ll perform maintenance, diagnostics, repairs, and installations on cooling towers while working closely with a field crew each day. This is a long-term career opportunity with training, growth, and stability — ideal for mechanically inclined technicians of all skill levels.

Position Offers

• Up to $30/hr, depending on experience. If your target pay is higher, we still encourage you to apply—we could request adjustments based on experience and market conditions.

• State-certified 3-year apprenticeship + manufacturer training

What You’ll Do

• Maintain clean and organized tools, trucks, and gang boxes

• Perform daily maintenance tasks including cleaning, greasing bearings, and oil changes

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair cooling tower mechanical systems

• Install new equipment per manufacturer specifications

• Work in a field crew to complete assigned work effectively and safely

• Respond to emergency service needs as required

• Adhere to all company policies, OSHA regulations, and safety standards

• Maintain professional communication with team members and customers

Requirements

• 2–4 years mechanical/HVAC/plumbing experience or trade school equivalent

• OSHA-30 required

• Valid driver's license

• Ability to read manuals, diagrams, procedures, and safety documentation

• Ability to write basic service notes, reports, and job status updates

• Strong mechanical aptitude — hand tools & power tools required

• Ability to lift 50 lbs repeatedly, climb to 24 ft, kneel, crouch, crawl, and stand for extended periods

• Comfortable working around moving mechanical equipment, heat, humidity, heights, and noise

• Basic computer proficiency (Word, Excel, Outlook, reporting apps)
