    Cooling Tower Technician - HVAC Cooling Tower Company - Base Salary to 30.00/hour - Ashburn, VA

    • Our client has been in the HVAC Cooling Tower Service business for over 30 years. Their team is comprised of project superintendents, managers, senior technicians, second level lead technicians, technicians assistants and apprentices. Each employee is factory trained by their manufacturers to ensure that every unit is installed, maintained, and repaired in accordance with the manufacturers' guidelines. This combination of expert knowledge and quality products enables them to deliver an unparalleled array of cooling tower services.
    • Now, due to growth they are looking for a Cooling Tower Technician to join their team to service the Ashburn, VA area. This position will require the diagnoses, repairs and performing work on a various cooling tower systems where manufacturers training will be provided as mentioned above. Our client is looking for candidates who have a mechanical aptitude and desire to grow their careers in the industry.

    Responsibilities:

    • Maintain an organized, clean truck, and gang box.
    • Work in a crew to achieve daily job tasks.
    • Communicate with office/project management teams on daily progress of projects.
    • Conduct routine maintenance of cooling towers; cleaning, greasing bearings, changing oil.
    • Diagnose, troubleshoot and repair faulty components within cooling tower.
    • Install new cooling towers and equipment according to manufacturer’s specs.
    • Assesses, diagnoses, implements required repairs.
    • Procures all material in a timely manner to meet service level agreements for scheduled completion dates.
    • Responds immediately to emergency situations and management concerns.
    • Performs all work to industry standards and maintains a professional manner and appearance at all times.
    • Follows company policies and procedures.
    • Complies with all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agency and
      company directives as related to building operations and practices safe work habits.
    • Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with co-workers and customers.

    Qualifications:

    • 1 + years’ of experience in a mechanical/trade service position.
    • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
    • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
    • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
    • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
    • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
    • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
    • Must have knowledge of and ability to use Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook, Internet Explorer and proprietary computer software.
    • OSHA 30 or current OSHA requirement

    Compensation:

    • Base salary in the 21.00 - 30.00/hour range
    • Health insurance programs where client pays 100% of employee health.
    • Profit Sharing program.
