    WHO WE NEED

    WE CURRENTLY HAVE A FULL-TIME BENEFITS RESOURCE ADVOCATE OPENING, MONDAY-FRIDAY 8AM-5PM.

    The Benefits Advocate will deliver critical front line support that touches all benefited employees with claim resolution and thorough knowledge of lines of coverage. Must have strong analytical skills to assess the needs of employees and options they have depending on lines of healthcare coverage. Strong decision making skills is imperative to reach conclusions about recommendations for employees. Excellent communication skills to effectively present assessments of employee needs. Is the face and voice when handling sophisticated needs of our employees with integrity and emotional intelligence. Guide employees to understand all lines of coverage, options, and responding quickly to questions and unresolved issues via email, phone, and chat. Deliver a seamless experience with a deep understanding of employee insurance coverage needs. JOB REQUIREMENTS:

    • Bachelors degree highly preferred or equivalency of High School Diploma/GED and 3+ years of progressive claims examination and benefits experience required.
    • Working in a Health Care/Insurance environment (familiarity with medical terminology, health plan documents, or benefit plan design highly preferred.

    ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Drive employee engagement with a thorough knowledge of lines of healthcare coverage to include, HDHP, PPO, HSA, FSA, dental, vision, short/long term disability, life, fully insured and alternative self-funding.
    • Passionately educate employee about healthcare benefits, claims, and lines of coverage.
    • Execute communication and cost containment strategies
    • Effectively communication supporting treatment options.
    • Foster a positive and encouraging environment for employees while connecting with appropriate treatment programs, vendors, and claims resolution.
    • Supports and assumes the responsibility for resolving claim issues and assisting employees with employee benefit questions.
    • Answer and respond to all issues, claims and problems related to coverage or those specifically related to an individual employee. These include: benefits questions, ID card requests, student status updates, provider directories, pre-authorization assistance, and referral assistance.
    • Diligently and quickly pursue each inquiry/claim until the most positive resolution is achieved; regularly communicate the progress to the employee.
    • Complete employee benefit online enrollments into requisite carrier systems.
    • Review weekly, monthly and quarterly claims, utilization,
    • A sense of urgency and ownership in all you do.
    • The ability to manage several different assignments and responsibilities at the same time.
    • The ability to effectively interact and communicate with various insurance carriers, clients and team members.
    • A willingness to continually upgrade knowledge and understanding of the Healthcare Insurance Industry.
    • To ensure compliance & adequate services, additional job duties may be required to meet the needs of the program and or department.
