Cope Equities is a real estate development and construction company based in Allen, Texas. It owns various subsidiaries including Cope Homes and Billy Peck Construction.

We are seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist. A general knowledge of GAAP is needed. QuickBooks Online experience is a HUGE plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the accounts payable function.
• Ensure accurate and timely processing of invoices, expense reports, and payment disbursements.
• Review and reconcile vendor statements, resolving any discrepancies.
• Perform new vendor due diligence process, ensuring valid W9 forms and COI (certificate of insurance) are obtained.
• Maintain positive relationships with vendors, ensuring timely resolution of payment-related inquiries.
• Bank and credit card reconciliations.
• Maintain and Request loan draws from banks and other lending institutions.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders.
• Prepare regular reports on accounts payable metrics.
• Compile and prepare annual property tax records, reconcile for payment
• Prepare 1099’s annually.
• Use Excel Spreadsheets, use VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, and other intermediate functions.
• Identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the accounts payable function.
• Performs other duties within his/her capabilities as determined by management and when asked.

Skills

· QuickBooks Online Experience

· Ability to calculate interest

· Basic understanding of GAAP
