    As a Sales Manager, you will dive into the intricacies of day-to-day operations, meticulously tracking sales metrics, handling ride-alongs, coaching sessions, and addressing customer concerns.     Key Responsibilities

    • Lead, coach, and manage the HVAC selling technicians and Retail Sales Reps to ethically maximize their selling abilities and opportunities, meeting or exceeding annual sales and margin goals.
    • In working with highly qualified technicians, the Sales Manager needs to ensure their ongoing technical training and assessment of their abilities, and also leverage the teams knowledge through their assistance training junior techs.
    • Conduct regular one-on-one coaching meetings and ride-alongs (in person and virtual) with team members. Coach to improve performance and behavior, and ensure each team member is the Right Person in the Right Seat.
    • Collaborate with the Sales and Marketing Leader to develop annual planning for the HVAC sales team.
    • Make recommendations for product offerings, sales materials, and pricing based on input from the sales team.
    • Develop strong, mutually beneficial relationships with other Managers and Departments across the organization, such as Installation, Dispatch, Inside Sales, and Accounting. Be a resource for sales training and coaching to managers and team members in other lines of business.
    • Handle and resolve customer concerns that come in for the team.
    • Have some technical product acumen and the ability to learn the product line.
    • Track, report and analyze sales and margin results for the team.
    • Calculate monthly bonus payouts for the team.
    • Identify future technician candidates – working with HR to recruit from outside the company collaborate with Service Managers to identify and help coach internal candidates.
    • Handle day to day tasks such as timesheet review and approval, scheduling, setting flip rotation, and tracking and reporting key performance metrics for the team.
    • Additional projects and duties as appropriate.

    Talents and Skills Required

    • Candidates must be able to work both collaboratively and independently and feel comfortable taking ownership and responsibility for setting and achieving plans.
    • Motivation and coaching to excellence is critical in this role. The Sr. Tech/Retail team is the top-performing, revenue generating team in the organization.
    • This role emphasizes excellent leadership, sales talent, interpersonal and communication skills coupled with an eye for detail, organization skills, time management, and the ability to prioritize multiple demands.
    • Digital proficiency is a must – working efficiently and effectively with Excel and our CRM tool.
    • A demonstrated ability to think through problems and develop solutions, learn new things, and take ownership of project successes as well as failures.

    Experience

    • Minimum 3 years sales team leadership with proven results achieving or exceeding sales goals.
    • Technical product acumen is preferred but not required.
