Position Overview: The Vice President of Sales will play a pivotal role in driving the success of the organization. This position will be responsible for leading the sales team, developing and executing sales strategies, and fostering a culture of excellence and accountability within the sales department. This position will be a key member of the executive team, contributing to the overall strategic direction of the company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership and Team Management:
- Lead, mentor, and inspire a high-performance sales team.
- Develop and implement effective sales training programs.
- Foster a collaborative and results-driven culture within the sales department.
- Collaborate with New Product Development and Marketing teams to support continued growth in sales.
- Strategic Planning:
- Work closely with the executive team to develop and execute sales strategies aligned with overall business objectives.
- Identify new market opportunities and contribute to the development of innovative sales approaches.
- Performance Metrics and Accountability:
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of the sales team.
- Implement performance management systems to drive accountability and continuous improvement.
- Customer Relationship Management:
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key clients and partners.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure consistent messaging and brand representation.
- Market Analysis:
- Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics.
- Provide insights and recommendations based on market analysis to guide strategic decision-making.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field. MBA is a plus.
- Proven experience in a senior sales leadership role, preferably in a B2B environment.
- Strong track record of driving sales growth and achieving revenue targets.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a high-performing sales team.
- CPG experience preferred.
- Proven experience in mass market sales.
- Demonstrated ability working on large retailer solutions.
