Job Description

Corbus, LLC is seeking a Website Designer / Developer who will be responsible for creating modern, world class website design for a Fortune 100 company. Primary duties include conceptualizing and implementing creative ideas for websites, as well as creating visual elements in line with our branding. You will be working closely with our systems development team to ensure a high performance, fault tolerant, and successful system.

The successful candidate will need to have excellent visual design skills and be proficient in graphic design software such as Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator.  

You will also need to have a working knowledge of a full stack environment based on AWS, or GCP.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Conceptualizing creative ideas with internal clients.
• Designing visual imagery for websites and ensuring that they are in line with branding for clients.
• Preparing design plans and presenting the website structure.
• Communicating design ideas using user flows, process flows, site maps and wireframes.
• Incorporating requested functionalities and features into websites.
• Testing sites with backend tech components and suggesting options for improvements.
• Testing and improving the design of websites.
• Establishing design guidelines, standards, and best practices.
• Maintaining the appearance of websites by enforcing content standards.
• Working with different content management systems.
• Designing prototype pages.

REQUIREMENTS & SKILLS:

• A diploma in the relevant discipline.
• Proficiency in graphic design software including Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and other visual design tools.
• Excellent visual design skills.
• Up-to-date experience with international web protocols, standards, and technologies.
• Proficiency in front-end development web programming languages such as HTML and CSS, JQuery, and JavaScript.
• Strong SQL and database skills.
• Good understanding of all technologies in a GCP or AWS based tech stack.
• Good understanding of search engine optimization principles.
• Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues.
• Creative and open to new ideas.
• Adaptable and willing to learn new techniques.
• Excellent communication skills.
