    Job Description

    POSITION TITLE: Cerner Interface Analyst / Open Engine

    REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

    • Previous experience with Cerner Open Engine tool
    • Two (2) years of information system development, interfaces, integration, implementation, and support required

     

    HIGHLY PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

    • Experience with Cerner BMDI set-up
    • Experience with implementation and support of HL7 Interfaces

     

    ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Provide Cerner support utilizing Cerner Open Engine tool.
    • Provide system support, maintenance, code management, upgrades, service/cumulative package installation, and regression testing.
    • Determine scope of investigation required for interface optimization and design.
    • Design technical specifications for interfaces.
    • Evaluate, design, and develop testing plans and assist with testing system functionality and validation.
    • Develop domain strategies for pre and post production domains for multiple phase implementations.
    • Provide general system troubleshooting and facilitate troubleshooting training session.
    • Collaborate with Clinical Analysts on current and future state workflows and documentation redesign.
    • Assist with security design, build, and testing.
    • Assist with the design of history data migration processes.
    • Assist with Cerner BMDI set-up and implementation.
    • Assist with HL7 interface design and implementation, system integration, and reporting.
    • Collaborate with Systems Engineers, Analysts, and support technicians determine application requirements.
    • Assist with issue resolution and escalate to management team for resolution and documentation.
    • Provide updates to project teams and management related to project tasks and timelines.
    • Prepare written deliverables as defined in project scope
