Job Description
Position Title: Cerner Dynamic Documentation Analyst
Required Experience:
- Previous Cerner Millennium PowerNote / Dynamic Documentation application build, testing, training, and implementation experience
- Knowledge of one or more Cerner Solutions (PowerNote, Dynamic Documentation, SurgiNet, FirstNet, RadNet, CPOE, PathNet, Discern Expert, CCL, CareMobile PharmNet, Discern Rules, PowerChart, CareNet, PowerPlans, ProFit, IView, etc.) required
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- Five (5) years of information system development, implementation, and support required
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Provide Cerner PowerNote / Dynamic Documentation application support in the selection, installation, and configuration.
- Determine scope of investigation required for system optimization, design, and implementation.
- Identify business and clinical issues through interaction with clinicians and end users.
- Collaborate with Clinical Analysts on current and future state workflows and documentation redesign.
- Facilitate gap analysis and process redesign workshops within and between several hospital departments.
- Complete general system troubleshooting and facilitate troubleshooting training sessions.
- Resolve reported system and application problems in test and production environments.
- Function as liaison and advocate to clinicians to ensure the system meets end user requirements.
- Evaluate, design, and develop testing plans and assist with testing system functionality and validation.
- Provide reports and performance of unit, functional, system, integration and regression testing.
- Manage quality auditing of project data and system build prior to conversions.
- Assist with implementation support, scheduling, and go-live planning.
- Develop educational materials and deliver training to all levels of clinical staff.
- Provide “on call” 24/7 system and end user support on a rotating basis.
- Prepare written deliverables as defined in project scope.
- Provide leadership and guidance to project team and prioritize scheduled tasks to maintain project scope.
- Maintain knowledge of security and data integrity of system.
- Manage resolution of project issues, escalating them to appropriate decision making staff and change control management team.
- One or more Cerner Millennium certifications preferred.
