Job Description

Core BTS is seeking a dedicated IT Professional to fill a Systems Technician position.

This position is Full-Time, and will require reporting in-person for all work performed. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provides technical support to end users for computer hardware, telephone equipment, multi-functional printers and peripheral devices
• Serves as second level support to the Help Desk by taking support calls and guiding the User Support Technicians toward viable solutions.
• Provides onsite installation, configuration, and support of computer, and peripheral equipment
• Maintains operational order of computers, and peripheral equipment, and associated wiring
• Ensures excellent customer service and guaranteed response time by actively assigning and monitoring ticket system requests for service
• Acts as Help Desk Support when necessary
• Enters support tickets for users when needed
• Provides timely and customer-oriented assistance to end users and ensures that other members of the Technical team are as well
• Monitors/ maintains up-to-date IT Hardware Inventory
• Duties otherwise assigned by supervisor

Qualifications

• Associates degree required (4 years of relevant experience would be considered in lieu of an Associate’s degree), Bachelors degree is preferred
• Minimum of 1 year of related experience, specifically in Technical Support
• Technical certifications (MCSA, Network+, etc.) preferred 
• Excellent communication and organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and multitask are required
• Valid NYS driver’s license in good standing
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds
• Must be at least 18 years old to apply for this position
