    CoreSource is seeking an INTAKE COORDINATOR that will work out of the Tucson office.  The function of the HCM Intake Coordinator is to collect demographic information required for the certification of inpatient, outpatient, and alternative site care for self and fully funded business. This individual is also accountable for entering data into the healthcare management information system. Emphasis is on customer service and accuracy    

     

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Accepts incoming Healthcare Management calls to determine purpose of call.
    • Advise callers of Utilization Management certification requirements based on specific client information.
    • Offers to connect callers to the benefit department for clarification of benefit plans.
    • Collects and enters all pertinent demographic information as it relates to the certification of inpatient, outpatient and alternate site care.
    • Accurately and efficiently enters demographic and benefit related data.
    • Retrieve voicemail messages from the queue and return calls for confirmation of data.
    • Request discharge dates from hospitals, facilities, and physician's offices as requested.
    • Assists with the orientation of new team members.
    • Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

     

    REQUIREMENTS:

    •  High school diploma or GED equivalent required
    • Previous experience in a healthcare or insurance setting preferred
    • Previous telephonic customer service experience in a call center preferred
    • Medical terminology, medical coding, or ICD-9 experience preferred
    • Demonstrated computer proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
    • Ability to communicate in a positive and effective manner in both oral and written communication
    • Ability to work in a detailed and fast-pace call center environment, consistently delivering exceptional customer service
