    CoreSys Consulting is looking for a Senior IT Strategic Planner. This position is an opportunity for you to support the mission across a geographically dispersed organization (CONUS and possibly OCONUS) on an Army IT Operations/Support Program.

    The Army Senior IT Strategic Planner responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    • Providing support for strategic IT policy and planning the development and maintenance of standards and processes to ensure that technologies at each layer of the IT architecture are acquired, configured and operated in accordance with Army guidelines.
    • Support for IT Strategic planning, program assessments and studies to validate program performance and effectiveness.
    • Provide support to the development of the IT strategic plans and incorporate requirements derived from overall command Strategic Plan. Assist in the identification and definition of the command functions and processes required to enable the current and future Command Strategic Plans.
    • Assist in initially updating and maintaining the Command’s IT portfolio plan of required governing plans and policies and a methodology for the staffing and execution of the plans and policies.
    • Review and assist in the formulation of IT plans and policy requirements based on governing agencies regulatory publications.
    • Coordinate with and provide input/feedback on command impacts to governing agency.
    • Research, document, consolidate, and provide all required actions from governing agencies plans and policies that are required for the development of IT policy and guidance.
    • Support the development of IT training plans.

       

      Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

    • A Bachelors’ degree in Business, Communications, Engineering or IT/computer sciences.
    • A minimum of 12 years’ IT strategic policy and planning of IT-related programs at a senior staff level.
    • US Citizenship and an Active Secret Clearance or higher per contract requirements.
    • IAT/IAM Level II Certification (Security+ or equivalent).

       

      Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

    • A MA/MS degree in Business, Communications, Engineering or IT/computer sciences.
    • Prior Military or Government leadership experience in strategy, policy and planning, i.e., G6/J5 staff level, or similar documented experience.
    • Graduate of a military school where such skills are taught, i.e., Command and General Staff College, or war college equivalent.
    • Excellent interpersonal and people skills.
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
    • Strong analytical and thinking, documentation and design skills.
    • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
    • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
    • Detail oriented and demonstrated ability to achieve goals and objectives with minimal direction.
    • Ability to thrive in a fast paced, dynamic environment and operate under stringent deadlines.
    • Master with MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and SharePoint.
