    Job Description

    WE ARE CURRENTLY LOOKING FOR AN ACCOUNTING CLERK FOR THIS POSITION.

    Job Title: Cashier (Healthcare)

    Duration: 4 months contract with possible extension and/or conversion to perm

    Location: Sunnyvale, CA 94086

    Hourly Rate: $20

    Shift Start: AM

    Shift Duration: 8

    Guaranteed Hours: 40

    Mask fit required? : No

    Will worker have contact with blood or bodily fluid as a part of their job? : No

    Potential for exposure to contaminated air/med supplies/equipment? : No

    Hazardous drug medical evaluation required? : No

     

    JOB DESCRIPTION:

    • Receives Locked Courier Bags and Balancing Work

    • Accepts locked bags from all Satellite offices and indicate bags received on both an office log and a courier log.

    • Removes work and verifies that all monies are present

    • Reconcile cash drawers to EPIC and Trust Commerce.

    • Contacts care center staff when additional information as necessary.

    • Deposit Tool

    • Generate a reconciliation of daily work to closed cash drawers.

    • Confirm deposit amount sent to bank.

    • Balance DT deposit amount to bank report.

    • Daily Deposit

    • Enters work for a single daily deposit.

    • Records wires and GL deposits.

    • Packages cash and check to be picked up by Courier and send to the bank.

    • Errors

    • Ensures errors sent to Patient Financial Services are completed in a timely fashion.

    • Checks to make sure the corrections have been carried out accurately according to the Cashier’s instructions.

    • Keeps log of which errors are committed, by whom, and how often for retraining purposes.

    • NSF’s and Chargeback’s

    • Receives notification of insufficient funds or a patient dispute of charges.

    • Researches payment and prepares corresponding documentation.

    • Sends findings to appropriate persons.

    • Other Duties

    • Performs other duties and projects as required by Supervisor or Manager.

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Ability to use tact and diplomacy in dealing with people, both internal and external customers

    • Understanding of basic accounting practices

    • Basic computer skills

    • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word

    • Familiarity with Outlook

    • Proficiency at typing and 10 key

    EDUCATION:

    • High School Diploma – Required (Diploma or GED)

    • Associates - Desired
