The Art Processor handles conversion of finished art from clients or the Design team into system ready templates, ready to post to our online store, www.corefact.com. This position is a combination of design and programming, so a candidate with some experience in both worlds is ideal . Each template file is created by “blocking” and “tagging” a data field added to aPDFs of final art. Parameters for each “block” are then set for layout, font and color values, then programmed to pull either account specific data or the user’s contact list specific data. Once all blocks are set and tested for accuracy, files are posted to the store or are attached to an order and submitted to Production.

In the Content Services Division, we are responsible for creation of and troubleshooting of all templates; Design questions as pertain to template functionality; and maintenance of our 13,000 item (and growing) catalog. We ensure that all templates on the store function correctly, display accurately and are appropriately placed on the store.

Our team is small, but we manage all store content. The next Art Processor will join our group as our product volume and large client list are rapidly increasing. We anticipate a 30% - 50% rise in template processing this year, so additional capacity is needed to handle the increased volume and manages the expanded catalogs. We work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with constant interruptions and very little room for error.

     SKILLS:

Creative Cloud fluent, with with exposure to programming knowledge. A plus for experience with Acrobat Pro. Our daily tools are Acrobat Pro, InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator, however our main tool is a plug-in for Acrobat Pro called PDFLib. We do not design new content, but we verify that all content will function per trim parameters set by Production and adjust, as necessary.

This role is one part Design, one part programming, one part troubleshooting and one part print production. The ability to self-start projects, keep track of progress on multiple projects and the lead yourself the right answer are all very important. What is absolutely required is a positive attitude and a can-do approach to figuring out complicated tasks. Bonus if you like solving puzzles. We work in a fast paced environment where the details are everything. We provide the custom feature to our company's product and ensure each product is delivered to the customer, as requested. Compensation dependent upon experience.
