Contracts and Compliance Assistant
We are looking to hire a Contracts and Compliance Assistant for a Medical Device Company located in North Houston. The Contracts and Compliance Assistant is responsible for providing overall support to the Legal & Compliance Department. This position will provide high quality customer service support to potential and existing clients, patients and other internal and external customers. This is a Temp – Hire opportunity.
Responsibilities:
- Act as customer support liaison for the Legal & Compliance department
- Support commercial contract formation and contract life cycle
- Conduct initial review for all HIPAA Business Associate Agreements
- Conduct OIG screening of employees, contractors and vendors
- Review, ensure compliance of, and respond to information requests and medical records requests from clients, patients and other third parties
- Accurately track and maintain legal documentation and compliance policies in conformance with administrative procedures
- Support overall Legal & Compliance Department team and general organization
- Perform legal research and due diligence
- Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
- Associates or Bachelor’s degree with one year of experience in a customer service role. In lieu of a degree, High School diploma and three years of relevant work experience required.
- Must have three or more years of experience
- Superior internal and external communication and customer service skills
- Superior writing and proofreading abilities
- Enthusiastic and dedicated to the challenge of helping other people in a customer service role
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to effectively multi-task in a fast-paced environment and adhere to deadlines
- Advanced Microsoft Office experience (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
- Understanding of HIPAA laws and regulations (Preferred)
Pay: $18.00 Per Hour.
