    JOB DESCRIPTION

     

    Under direct supervision, performs standard engineering work requiring application of standard established techniques and procedures to carry out tasks. Assignments involve responsibility for planning/conducting a complete task or portion of a larger project under direction of more experienced staff. Provides technical support related to planning, designing, analyzing, constructing and maintaining structures, systems and components. Provides engineering advice, as needed. 

    Required Skills Required Experience

    ALL CANDIDATES MUST MEET THE FOLLOWING MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS IN ORDER TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS OPPORTUNITY.

     

    • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Civil/Structural Engineering with strong course work in structural analysis, hydraulic analysis, dynamics, and strength of materials (stress analysis) completed by start date plus 0-2 years of relevant work experience. Candidates with an advanced degree and/or experience may be considered for a higher level position.

    • Strong technical problem-solving abilities
    • Strong interpersonal skills
    • Excellent technical writing and verbal communication skills

     

    THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENTS ARE DESIRED AND WILL BE USED TO DIFFERENTIATE ALL CANDIDATES WHO APPLY FOR THIS POSITION.

     

    • Previous internship/co-op experience in field of study
    • ASME Section III knowledge.
    • Experience with Solidworks is a plus.
    • Python or other programming language is a plus.
    • Experience interacting and functioning in an international company, specifically interactions with French and German cultures.
    • Passed Fundamentals of Engineering Exam and working towards attaining
    • Professional Engineers License is desirable.
    • Experience with structural analyses (beam, pipe or finite element), loading analysis, stress analysis is a plus.
