TITLE: DATA ENTRY CLERK
PAY: $16.00HR
SCHEDULE: MONDAY - FRIDAY | 8:00AM - 5PM

SUMMARY/PURPOSE OF POSITION
You will provide clerical and administrative support to the Child Care Assistance program. Responsibilities include reviewing, receiving, and processing incoming customer correspondence by e-mail, fax, mail, parent portal and walk-in, as well as support functions that include copying, shredding documents, mailing, faxing, and scanning.
The data entry position, it would be processing requests submitted by the parents through our portal system
Create ‘tickets’ for each request
Update addresses and phone numbers
Add customers to our waitlist and send out confirmation letters
There would be outbound calls to make to provide statuses to customers
Trained to process transfer requests for parents (from one daycare to another) so calculations and pro-rating of payments would be involved
This is our biggest area of liability for since any incorrect calculations might lead to having to cover the difference. As a non-profit, we cannot afford disallowed costs.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High School diploma or equivalent required
One year data entry preferred, general office experience required
Knowledge of basic computer software (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Strong data entry skills, communication skills, and customer service skills
Must be able to effectively problem solve and be flexible
Must be able to promote a positive work environment, multi-task and handle confidential information
Prompt and regular attendance required
Must possess strong business ethics
Must be able to proficiently and accurately process data entry, scan documents, and meet deadlines associated with each task
Must be a team player and be able to work independently and take initiative
