    Job Description

    The Strategic Pricing Manager within our Shelter Solutions businesses will serve as the lead on the execution of pricing activities for our Buildings, Components and Residential Metal Roofing businesses. The successful candidate must be highly analytical and research-oriented with strong communication skills. This role will work in close collaboration with Sales, Estimating, Marketing, Finance, Sourcing/Procurement, Sales Operations, and Vendor Relations to drive execution of key pricing activities to deliver on our monthly, quarterly, yearly, and long-term targets.

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

    • Support execution of pricing strategies for channels and products
    • Support the establishment of analytics to help provide clear insights and actionable recommendations that balance price and volume, reinforce our strategy, and drive targeted sales conversion
    • Enforce pricing practices and policies across the Shelter Solutions business. Build cross functional relationships to gain alignment and drive understanding of the value of pricing organizationally
    • Must be willing to lead with data, have challenging conversations and provide recommendations to Director of Strategic Pricing and VP Sales Excellence that support the balance of price, volume and margin while supporting share gain and profit growth strategies
    • Partner with Estimating and IT to support pricing in Sales tools: myPortal, Hybris, etc.
    • Support the Zilliant vendor relationship, leveraging tools, services, and capabilities to strengthen predictive analytics and capture margin expansion opportunities
    • Work with Marketing and Digital Team to drive e-Commerce pricing strategies and execution
    • Make recommendations on pricing actions based on business needs
    • Support the successful execution of the price increase/decrease process internally and externally
    • Support the Business Transformation team to implement pricing strategies and drive SKU optimization initiative across the Shelter Solutions business unit
    • Support measurement efforts to ensure progress of key pricing KPI’s
    • Other activities and projects as assigned/required

    Relationships :

    • Reports to Director of Strategic Pricing
    • Maintains relations with the Sales Excellence team, Sales Leaders for Buildings, Components and RMR in US and Canada and Estimating department leadership.

    • Must be a data-driven, critical thinker capable of managing multiple data streams and digging into very granular details
    • Exceptional organization skills with ability to prioritize and execute in a timely manner
    • Proven collaboration in a matrixed organization
    • Strong understanding of pricing concepts and ability to leverage those concepts into results
    • Must be willing to have professionally challenging conversations that are productive not destructive
    • Effective communication skills
    • Self-starter that acts with urgency and care
    • Ability to manage and execute multiple projects simultaneously without sacrificing quality
    • Highly accountable to multiple stakeholders
    • Skilled at simplifying the complex and dealing with a fast-paced environment
    • Excellent listening, verbal, and written communication skills
    • Bias for proactive and positive project management and process improvement

    The US base salary range for this full-time position is $120,000 to $128,000 + bonus + medical, dental, vision benefits starting day 1 + 401k and PTO. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
