Base pay rate starts at $26.50 per hour

Shift: Full -Time Day Shift

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Driver will be expected to transport and deliver building materials to our dealers, distribution centers, and/or construction job sites. This position requires a wide range of skills from practicing safe driving and delivery to top-notch customer service. This is a hands-on local builder direct delivery driver role.

• Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of vehicles
• Responsible for delivering the correct product to our customers and completing all required paperwork accurately
• Makes inspection of vehicles as required by company policy and law to ensure the vehicle is safe to operate and has ample quantities of fuel, oil, and water
• Complies with all regulations, rules, and company procedures while performing job duties
• Reports all road hazards observed in the route
• Make delivery or pickup freight in, route, obtaining signed receipts, collecting, and signing for freight as instructed
• Immediately, reports all accidents and/or injuries including, DOT roadside inspections, in which involved, regardless of the extent of damage or injury
• At the end of each trip, reports the condition of the equipment used

Qualifications

• Minimum high school graduate or equivalent
• Valid Class A CDL driver’s license
• Clean driving record
• Valid Medical Card
• 2 years’ experience driving a semi-truck is preferred (equivalent Military DD214 experience is acceptable)
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waist
• Ability to work independently or with a team
• Ability to plan and manage time efficiently
• Ability to work safely throughout the day and prevent unsafe conditions
• Must be willing to unload and load
