    JOB DETAILS

    Their primary role will be leadership and project management oversight focused on Logistics and Transportation transformation projects, serving as a catalyst for change in both the people processes, frequently focusing the efforts on people first, process second, and finally, the system to execute the business transactions. The role requires the ability to interface and subsequently bridge the gap between heavy technical-based solutions and daily operations personnel. The role involves working with all functional groups of the organization and accelerating the customer order-to-cash cycle. The successful incumbent will work with the fleet, shipping, customer service, and manufacturing departments to implement systems; and support their ongoing use of the software. This varied role involves working onsite with teams, requiring regular travel throughout North America to support our aspiration of becoming the premier building solutions company.

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Consistently lead first with safety to demonstrate that it is embraced as a value. Lead team to complete safety objectives and ensure a safe and productive work environment
    • Be the subject matter expert (SME) in Supply Chain Optimization Software packages that range from Warehouse Management Systems through Final-Mile Delivery execution
    • Lead the development of objectives and execution plans that optimize the Aperture Solutions Central Routing & the fleet distribution teams
    • Coordinate with stakeholders across various departments with the shared goal of delivering integrated software that connects order entry to customer payment
    • Lead the development of objectives and execution plans that optimize FG Distribution and Material Flow operations, including driving On-Time/In-Full, best-in-class product storage, and handling, and delivering high inventory accuracy and low damage results
    • Establish and maintain an efficient flow of raw materials, packaging components, work-in-process, and finished goods. Ensure supply chain effectiveness by exceeding production service requirements of delivering the right materials to the right place at the right time cost-efficiently
    • Drive supply chain cost and capability initiatives across finished goods and raw materials
    • Develop space capacity planning strategies that maximize warehouse utilization, material handling efficiencies, and develop predictive capacity requirements
    • Develop and implement operational supply chain strategies and technology, including systems, tools, logistics, distribution, and warehousing process improvements
    • Develops strategic plans to improve productivity, cost, and efficiency within the supply chain operations viewpoint by planning activities, objectives, and goals and aligning the organization to meet customer and company objectives
    • Accountable for adherence to supply chain and cost reduction targets, monitoring progress, increasing supply dependability and flexibility, reviewing schedules, and resolving cross-departmental problems
    • Develop and foster supplier networks and order fulfillment options by evaluating brokers, suppliers, 3Pls, logistics carriers, and cross-functional partners to provide solutions for expanding business plans
    • Works collaboratively and actively participates with manufacturing team members to support enterprise-wide Cornerstone Production System improvements
    • Maintain effective communication with demand planning, supply chain planning, customer service, purchasing, quality, and related manufacturing functions to maximize customer service
    • Manages and motivates assigned staff. Responsible for the direction, coordination, and evaluations

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • In-depth knowledge of distribution and warehouse functions, work group dynamics, measurement systems (metrics), and continuous process improvement techniques
    • Must have extensive experience utilizing ERP/ DRP / TMS / WMS systems
    • Excellent people management skills, including conflict resolution, coaching, and developing others, promoting teamwork and performance management.
    • Experience leading diverse teams that include both employees, contractors, and vendor resources
    • Systems (WMS/Pick and Put way systems, TMS) knowledge and implementation experience are required
    • Strong decision-making skills and linking business objectives to business activities
    • Excellent leadership, interpersonal skills, with a strong sense of urgency
    • Hands-on experience with developing, implementing, and managing distribution center operations
    • Demonstrated project integration, planning, communication, and documentation skills to oversee and prepare project team resource requirements in collaboration with cross-functional departments.
    • Strong analytical, planning, and organizational skills and a consultative approach to problem-solving
    • Ability to build strong, positive rapport with associates in a team environment; ability to lead through personal example that communicates integrity, core values, and consistency in decision-making
    • Ability to implement site standards and best practices, including policies, procedures, and workflow development
    • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced multi-tasking environment and to manage multiple projects/priorities
    • Presenting to senior levels of management
    • Producing technical documentation

    EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

    • Bachelor’s Degree in the areas of Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, Finance, or Business
    • Master’s Degree preferred, PMP
    • Deep understanding of supply chain metrics, manufacturing, production network optimization, transportation, demand planning, or other areas related to Logistics and Supply Chain
    • Experience collaborating with and influencing cross-functional teams and key stakeholders
    • Demonstrated ability to build & deliver structured & compelling communications (both written and verbal)
    • Knowledge of cost/benefit analysis and key financial drivers (NPV, IRR, Payback Period)
    • Excellent problem-solving skills - including the ability to assess situations, identify discrete problem areas, determine scenarios for analysis, and recommend sound conclusions
    • ASCM certifications/experience are desired
    • Experience implementing, managing, and utilizing ERP, DRP, TMS, and WMS systems
    • Excellent Microsoft product skills, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
    • 7+ years' experience in logistic and distribution leadership
    • Up to 75% travel during periods of implementation & training, 25% otherwise

    The US base pay range for this full-time position is $115,000 to $130,000 + 10% STIP + medical, dental, vision benefits starting day 1 + 401k and PTO. Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
