Cornerstone Discovery is an end-to-end litigation support company seeking to hire a Litigation Support Technician to assist clients with eDiscovery, in-court and out-of-court litigation needs. The Litigation Support Technician will be part of the eDiscovery team and report directly to the eDiscovery Manager. In this role, you will use programs like Nuix, Cellebrite, ReadySuite, online legal document review platforms, and related tools to handle all aspects of collecting and processing ESI (Electronically Stored Information) and creating and managing document reviews in preparation for document productions. You will assist with advising clients on effective searches, culling of data, basic analysis of technical information and metadata, generating reports based on analysis of data, and working with legal teams on efficient review of documents. In this role, you will also learn the ins and outs of legal document review platforms - including Cornerstone Discovery's review platform, Junto.net. The technician will assist review teams on this platform, provide training, technical support, and assist with managing reviews. When not managing eDiscovery tasks this position will lend support to the company's digital forensic or trial support department. These tasks can include collection and forensic imaging of digital devices and collection of data, logging and maintaining chain of custody logs for evidence, processing data for analysis, and traveling to client sites for collections - when necessary. Applicants will utilize forensic hardware and software to assist examiners with complex corporate and criminal investigations. In addition, applicants will be trained in trial and litigation support. Applicants may be expected to be deployed for in-court consulting related to discovery management in large and complex cases, and the display of documents or multimedia in both criminal and civil matters - some of which may be high profile or highly confidential. This is an entry-level position and the candidate is not required to be knowledgeable of these concepts but must have a solid technical background, strong project management skills, and a willingness to learn. Digital forensics or IT background is a plus. Technical help desk and customer service experience are a plus. JOB DUTIES: * Assist with collecting and processing data. * Assist with building, editing, and running searches on data and developing analytical reports for clients * Assist with technical aspects of document reviews and productions * Assist with technical support calls and project management (possible after hours) * Manage storage and storage space by archiving inactive cases and pulling any data previously archived for active cases * Manage chain of custody of devices or discovery sent to and from Cornerstone Discovery and clients * Assist with data analysis and early case assessment with large datasets * Assist with in-court trial support and the management of exhibits for trial QUALIFICATIONS: * Strong written and oral communication required * A degree in digital forensics, data science or another relevant field * Ability to maintain the confidentiality of client information * Ability to sit for long periods of time during court proceedings * Prior experience in eDiscovery, legal review, and digital forensics is a plus * Prior experience with Nuix, or other legal data processing tools is a plus * Legal document review experience a plus * Prior project management experience is a plus * Trial support or similar internships or experience a plus * IT experience is a plus * Advanced Microsoft Excel experience is a plus COMPETENCIES: * Strong familiarity with Windows Operating System and MS Office * Strong technical aptitude and desire to learn new technologies * Strong time and project management skills * Proven ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines * Ability to plan, organize, prioritize, and carry out multiple related activities * Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, verbally and in writing * Strong organizational, planning, and prioritization skills * Ability to exercise discretion and sound independent judgment * Attention to detail and the ability to follow up and follow-through * Ability to work the hours necessary to fulfil the responsibilities and be willing and able to handle overtime assignments when required (overtime paid at 1.5 hourly rate) TRAVEL: * 0-20% travel outside Philadelphia * Valid driver's license req
