Fertilizer/Herbicide Applicator
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage and Perform Pesticide and Fertilization program on commercial accounts
Treat specific insect, weed, turf, shrub and ornamental disease and nutritional requirements by dry or wet application of appropriate product
Maintain assigned power spray equipment in a safe, clean and mechanically sound condition
Ensure all equipment is stored properly and securely
Ensure compliance with all federal, state and local regulations
Follow schedule of pesticide jobs by client and complete all applications as specified in the time allotted
Maintain current Pesticide license through State of Texas
Record work hours in company system via (company-supplied) smart phone application.
Complete required pesticide application records and chemical usage
Attend training for satisfaction of Continuing Education Unit requirements for Pesticide license
Submit orders for chemical and fertilizer product sourcing best product and price for requested applications
Follow company safety policies on the job site and in the truck by wearing appropriate PPE, identifying and mitigating worksite hazards
Drive a truck from site to site ensuring loads are safely secured on truck
Ensure all inventory is on truck, perform truck inspections on tires, oil, etc. Reports issues to mechanic or supervisor immediately
Night-time performance of Mosquito Abatement program required 10 months a year for additional piece-rate based compensation
Follow company procedures in case of accidents, theft, or injuries and call supervisor immediately
Be polite and respectful when dealing with all individuals (clients/residents, employees, vendors)
