    Job Title: Irregular Warfare Subject Matter Expert (IW SME)

    Job Description:

    Cornerstone is actively seeking an operational and strategic Subject Matter Expert (SME) to provide support in the areas of Irregular Warfare (IW SME) and Joint Staff Action Process (JSAP). The ideal candidate will possess broad-canvas expertise and be instrumental in applying this knowledge to support the implementation of strategic guidance, including the National Defense Strategy and the National Military Strategy. This role will involve supporting the Joint Strategic Planning System, offering analysis, research, policy support, and conducting research in joint integration, capacity and capabilities assessment, as well as planning, strategy, policy, and concepts development.

    Irregular Warfare SME Responsibilities:

    Possess a minimum of three (3) years of recent experience within the last five (5) years in irregular warfare and related issues.

    Apply irregular warfare expertise to support the implementation of strategic guidance, including the National Defense Strategy and National Military Strategy.

    Demonstrate excellent communication skills, including writing, presenting, and conflict resolution.

    Hold a Top-Secret clearance with SCI eligibility to fulfill the requirements of this position.

    Desired Skills and Qualifications:

    Proven experience in Joint Staff Action Process (JSAP).

    Strong analytical and research abilities.

    Familiarity with the Joint Strategic Planning System.

    Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.

    Track record of success in policy and concept development.

    Demonstrated proficiency in capacity and capabilities assessment.

    The Irregular Warfare Requirements are performed at the AF/A3T and AF/A5/S offices at the Pentagon.
