Cornerstone Staffing is currently recruiting a Sr. Accounting Specialist for our client located in Merced, Ca. This company is a wholesale supply chain services company that distributes grocery and non-food to stores throughout the United States. This is a great temp-to-hire position. Shift time is 730am to 3:00pm, Monday to Friday. See additional details below.
Pay: $19 an hour
JOB SUMMARY: Receives incoming invoices, verifies their accuracy and code/enter invoices into the system. Examines, verifies, and reconciles a variety of transactions including difficult invoices or vendors. Trains teammates as required.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Accounts for expenses, checks, and cash receipts. Monitors account payable bills and receivable receipts. Codes and submits to appropriate department for further processing. Exercises good judgment and demonstrates common sense when evaluating transactions. Trains fellow teammates on new and challenging concepts/skills. Research, prepare and track manual and system-generated customer credits. Answer internal and external calls and emails regarding credits. Other duties may be assigned.
MINIMUM SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: HS Diploma or GED Data Entry Skills Math Skills Problem Resolution Skills 3 or more years’ experience in A/P, A/R, Bookkeeping and/or Accounting Department
