Mental Health Therapist Clinical Director
Primary Purpose of Position :The Clinical Director is to work collaboratively with the Clinical staff to address clinical case management needs of children and adolescents admitted to the assigned psychiatric residential treatment facilities. Further, this position requires the individual to communicate and collaborate with numerous stakeholders (parents,legal guardians, Department of Social Services, Department of Juvenile Justice,Managed Care Organizations associated with Local Management Entities, other mental health professionals, PRTF staff, and potential providers) to ensure appropriate clinical treatment of those served.
Description of Responsibilities and Duties :
the Clinical Director will coordinate and facilitate Child Family Team meetings for all consumers with the assigned psychiatric residential treatment facility on a monthly basis. Send completed meeting notes to immediate supervisor per request.
Revise Person-Centered Plans and provide required documentation to UM for timely submission of authorization requests.
Identify and secure services for consumers in need of psychological testing, psychosexual risk assessments, or specialty focused therapies.
Create and revise safety plans and behavior plans for consumers.
Consult and collaborate with all stakeholders (PRTF staff, medical director, families, guardians, DSS, LME, MCO) involved in the delivery of services to consumers.
Participate in monthly clinical supervision and team meetings.
Participate in in-service training, workshops,and conferences to enhance professional development.
Other duties as assigned by the VP of Clinical Services.
Qualifications :
Master’s degree in Counseling, Counseling Psychology, or Social Work
Experience with children and adolescents who exhibit emotional and/or behavioral issues
Extensive knowledge of evidence based practices
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Interpersonal/Team building skills and positive attitude
Organization/Time Management skills

Licenses or Certificates Required :Fully Licensed LCMHC or LCSW.Qualified applicants must have valid North Carolina Driver’s License, which is clear of violations reflecting a poor driving record. Personal vehicle insurance is also required.Additional Knowledge,Skills, Physical Requirements:
Knowledge of mental disorders, developmental disorders, and substance abuse issues with children and adolescents

Flexible Work Schedule: 15-18 hours per week; weekend and evening hours as needed. This position is responsible for 12 adolescent male clients at Jackson SpringsTreatment Center(West End, NC). Part time applicants will be considered
