    Company Overview

    A growing technology organization in the embedded systems and connected-device space is seeking a General Ledger Accountant to support financial operations. The company develops security-focused software and device lifecycle solutions for enterprise and IoT applications. This role sits within a collaborative accounting team and provides essential support to both operational and strategic finance activities.

    Role Summary

    The General Ledger Accountant will contribute to the accuracy and integrity of the financial records, support the month-end close, and assist in preparing financial statements and analyses. This position will work cross-functionally, participate in audits, and play a key role in maintaining compliant financial processes. The role is ideal for someone early in their accounting career who wants exposure to a wide range of responsibilities in a dynamic tech environment.

    Key Responsibilities

    Month-End & Core Accounting

    • Assist in executing the month-end close, including journal entries, accruals, and expense reviews.
    • Prepare and maintain detailed account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and policy compliance.
    • Contribute to financial statement preparation and internal reporting packages.

    Revenue & Reporting

    • Support proper recognition of subscription or recurring revenue in line with ASC 606.
    • Maintain deferred revenue schedules and assist with related reconciliations and documentation.
    • Help build variance analyses comparing actuals to budget, including commentary and insight for leadership.

    Audit, Tax, & Compliance

    • Collect, organize, and validate information required for external audits and tax filings.
    • Maintain documentation supporting regulatory and compliance requirements.

    Cross-Functional Collaboration

    • Partner with internal departments to provide accounting guidance and resolve transactional discrepancies.
    • Contribute to ad hoc financial analyses and special initiatives led by the accounting leadership.

    Process Improvement

    • Identify process gaps and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
    • Support analytical and reporting projects as assigned.

    Skills & Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
    • 1–2 years of relevant accounting experience (public accounting or small/mid-sized company preferred).
    • Solid understanding of GAAP, internal controls, and financial reporting principles.
    • Strong Excel and general Microsoft Office skills (Word, Teams).
    • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Clear verbal and written communication skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team across multiple levels of the organization.
    • Experience in SaaS, ASC 606, or CPA coursework is a plus.
    • Familiarity with analytical tools (PowerBI, Tableau) is a bonus.
