    Job description

    Join our dynamic accounting team providing specialized financial services to law, architectural, and engineering firms. As a Lead Accountant , you will play a critical role in ensuring accurate financial management and providing expert insights to drive our clients' success. You will:

    • Produce accurate financial and management reports that support data-driven decision-making for our clients. Provide insights into financial performance trends and deliver actionable feedback to optimize their financial strategies.
    • Reconcile balance sheet accounts and review income statement items to ensure accuracy. Proactively identify patterns and potential issues.
    • Oversee and streamline multiple billing, management, and reporting systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Leverage technology and best practices for optimal results.
    • Support and collaborate with firm managers, CFOs, and other key stakeholders to address financial needs and other responsibilities as needed.

    Work Schedule Expectations

    This is a full-time role requiring 40 hours per week. 30 hours should be worked between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. The remaining 10 hours per week can be completed in the evenings, weekends, or during regular business hours. A secure, interruption-free home office setup is essential.

    Education Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance

    Software Skills

    • Minimum of 12 months experience using QuickBooks Online
    • Experience using tools like Slack, Snagit, and Outlook
    • Experience with payroll tools like Gusto, Paychex, QB Payroll or other payroll processing software
