    About the Role

    True Path Leads is seeking an ambitious Legal Counsel to join our founding legal team. This is an in-house role supporting a fast-scaling digital performance marketing startup in the financial services space. You’ll handle regulatory compliance, contract negotiation, and data protection — all while working closely with the CEO and COO.

    This is a unique opportunity for a highly capable attorney who wants to grow into a General Counsel role.

    ⚖️ Responsibilities

    • Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements with affiliates, lenders, vendors, and partners
    • Build and maintain compliance policies
    • Oversee legal risk and regulatory matters related to lead generation and data monetization
    • Respond to compliance questionnaires and assist in due diligence and audit processes
    • Create internal policies for employee conduct, hiring/background checks, dispute resolution, and record retention
    • Collaborate with business development, tech, and leadership teams to support scaling initiatives
    • Monitor evolving federal and state laws affecting financial and marketing operations
    • This role may require occasional travel (approximately 2–3 times per year) to attend legal, compliance, or industry-related conferences on behalf of the company.
    • You will collaborate with external legal counsel for complex matters such as litigation, financing, data protection, and corporate structuring when needed.

    ✅ What We’re Looking For

    • J.D. from an accredited law school; active U.S. bar license
    • 4–8 years of legal experience (in-house or firm)
    • Experience drafting operational policies and commercial contracts
    • Clear communicator with strong problem-solving instincts
    • Comfortable in fast-moving environments
