Position Overview :
Direct Counsel is representing a well-respected Los Angeles law firm seeking a talented Corporate Finance Associate to join its dynamic corporate finance team. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience and will work on a wide range of corporate transactions, including acquisition financings, real estate financing, and other mid-market corporate matters.
Responsibilities :
Representing middle-market clients on a variety of corporate finance transactions, including acquisition financings, real estate financings, and other corporate financing arrangements.
Drafting, reviewing, and revising key documents such as credit agreements and related loan documentation.
Collaborating with a team of finance and corporate attorneys on mid-market and upper-middle-market corporate transactions.
Assisting clients across a variety of industries, including industrials, business services, media and entertainment, financial services, and more.
Contributing to M&A transactions, distressed financing, and other corporate matters, with a focus on high-quality client service and attention to detail.
Qualifications :
3+ years of experience in corporate finance, with a strong understanding of corporate transactions, secured financing, and acquisition financing.
Solid experience in drafting and revising corporate finance agreements and related documentation.
Excellent academic credentials and strong written and verbal communication skills.
Motivated, detail-oriented, and eager to grow within the corporate finance space.
Compensation :
The expected base salary for this position ranges from $240,000 to $275,000 annually, based on qualifications and experience. Associates who meet the firm’s performance standards (including billing at least 1,900 hours) can expect total compensation (base salary plus a discretionary bonus) ranging from $375,000 to $425,000. The discretionary bonus may increase based on the number of hours billed and collected above the 1,900-hour threshold. The firm also offers additional bonuses for work originated by associates.
